About me

Hi I am Natalie and welcome to Yoga Nata. I am a celebrated teacher with two decades of teaching experience.  I am known for my enthusiasm, fun filled approach and ability to bring out the best in people.

My career stems from a dance and gymnastics background.  I graduated from University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  My introduction to Yoga and Pilates followed a back injury sustained whilst performing with a dance company in the late 90’s.

I went on to gain distinction in Pilates with the Pilates Foundation UK.  I was resident teacher at Harley Street as well as Home House a private members club, in Portman Square and travelled extensively offering personal instruction to a star studded client list of famous actors, models and sports personalities.

I worked for many highly regarded studios in London namely The Life Centre, Tri Yoga and Danceworks as well as offering lessons to The West London School of Dance and Chiswick Arts Educational School.

I have studied classical Pilates with Jay Grimes as well as the late Ron Fletcher, both of whom were taught by Joseph Pilates himself.

During my residency in London I was introduced to the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®.  Juliu Horvarth’s three dimensional system inspired by yoga. I am a GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® Pre trainer.

In 2002 I moved back home to Norfolk and opened up The Pilates Studio in Norwich which I founded and ran successfully for fourteen years offering Pilates, Yoga and GYROTONIC® classes.  In 2007 I was accepted onto The NHS Directory of complimentary and alternative practitioners.   I graduated under the renowned YogaWorks 200 hour teacher training which was founded by the late Maty Ezraty together with her partner Chuck Miller.

I continued my Yoga studies over a further twelve months completing a second 200 hour Yoga teacher training in Hatha and Bhava Yoga under Swami Atma Gyanam Saraswati.  My daily practise is Mysore style of asana as taught by the late k. Pattabhi Jois of which I continue to follow, it is a life long commitment. I recently sold my Pilates studio to embrace a new journey immersing myself in Yoga’s healing power. I would be honoured to share my experiences with you.
